Speaking of “making it happen” I know many of you want what I’ve got. Frankly, I don’t blame you! If I were you, I’d want my own highly successful virtual assistance practice and to no longer sit in two hour commutes. I’d want the opportunity to cherry-pick my clients and to set my hours. I’d want to have the ultimate 30-second commute and to have more time for my family and those long-forgotten hobbies.

So here’s the thing: I truly believe you CAN have anything and everything you want in business and in life. (I’m a living example of this philosophy.) I also believe, correction I know, that if you really want something you’ve got to set realistic expectations, you must set a firm foundation and you must be commited to the things you want, full tilt. Half-stepping is not allowed!

And here’s another thought for you to chew on: How you define success is as unique and individual as you are. What is your vision for your work life? Are you looking to fly the corporate coop, or have you been pushed out due to downsizing? Are you a stay-at-home mom or dad who’s looking to enhance the family’s income?
